If the above named individual is performing massage therapy or non-therapeutic massage for compensation in Maryland the individual is doing so without proper certification/registration as required by State law. Practicing massage therapy/non-therapeutic massage in Maryland without proper certification/registration is a criminal act punishable by a fine up to $5,000, one year in prison, or both. On-line verification may be done at the following site https://mdbnc.dhmh.md.gov/chiroverification/default.aspx Verbal verification of a massage therapist/practitioner to ensure that they are a current licensee in good standing can be made by calling 410.764-2965 Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
